NBA Draft

On June 23, 2011 the Cleveland Cavs will officially begin the rebuilding process. Currently the Cavs hold the number 1 and 4 picks in the 2011 draft. Here are some draft scenarios I see possibly playing out

Scenario #1-
1.)-Cavs -Kyrie Irving PG (Duke)
2.)-Twolves- Derrick Williams SF/PF (Arizona)
3.)-Jazz- Brandon Knight PG (Kentucky)
4.)-Cavs- Ines Kanter C (Kentucky)
This personally is one of my least favorite scenarios out of the three but the most likely. There is a lot of speculation that the Cavs are looking hard at Jonas Valanciunas (Lithuania), however I don't see them drafting Jonas (Jonas is having buyout issues with his current team (the cavs don't have time to gamble on a Rubio like situation).

Scenario #2
1.)-Cavs- Derrick Williams SF/PF (Arizona)
2.)-Twolves- Ines Kanter C (Kentucky) This is a scenario where they would definitely think hard about trading their #2 pick
3.)-Jazz- Kyrie Irving PG (Duke)
4.)-Cavs- Brandon Knight PG (Kentucky)
This is my favorite scenario for the cavs. The main reason being that I personally believe Derrick Williams and Kyrie Irving are washes. Williams reminds me of a young Paul Pierce, he definetly has the potential to be a star in the league, but there is speculation that he can't play the three. I watched Derrick Williams many times over the 2011 season and he can 100% play the three especially due to his athletic ability and worth ethic. Knight and Irving are both 6'3 PG's, Irving is the more polished of the two however,Knight would have a year to learn around Baron Davis which (both have similar games).

Knight's 2010-2011 stats (38 GP)- 35.9 MPG 17.3 PPG 4.0 RPG 4.2 APG
Irving 2010-2011-stats (11 GP)-    27.5 MPG  17.3 PPG 3.4 RPG 4.3 APG

Side Note- Derrick Rose's Freshman year stats at Memphis stats same coach as Brandon Knight (Calipari).

Rose's 2007-2008 stats (40 GP)-29.5 MPG   14.9 PPG  4.5 RPG  4.7 APG

Scenario #3
1.)-Cavs- Irving
2.) Possible Trade
3.)-Jazz- Brandon Knight
4.)-Cavs-Cavs trade for more picks later in draft
